Cllr Shazna Muzammil, the newly appointed MK Conservative Group Leader and member for Tattenhoe Ward, has shared her enthusiasm about leading her Group into the new Council year and, after last night’s Full Council meeting, has shared her readiness to take on crucial local issues and champion the needs of all Milton Keynes’ residents.
“I am both excited and honoured to lead such a dynamic team of councillors,” stated Cllr Muzammil. “Our group embodies a rich diversity of experience and skills, all united by a deep commitment to our community. Thanks to our positive and focused campaign, we have successfully retained four crucial seats. I extend heartfelt thanks to the residents of Olney, Danesborough and Walton, Newport Pagnell North, and Tattenhoe for re-electing Keith McLean, Victoria Hopkins, Chris Wardle, and Manish Verma, and reaffirming their trust in us.”
Under her leadership, the Conservative Group is poised to rigorously hold the Labour administration accountable, particularly criticising what they describe as Labour’s “reckless expansion plans” that may affect the city’s future development.
Cllr Muzammil further expressed her support for the newly appointed Mayor, Marie Bradburn, praising her exceptional qualities : “Cllr Marie Bradburn’s compassion, leadership, and dedication to community service, especially towards our younger residents, will significantly benefit her mayoral tenure. We are confident that her experience will greatly enrich the Office and the entire City of Milton Keynes.”
The Conservative Group is looking forward to a productive year, actively engaging with community issues and ensuring that the voices of Milton Keynes residents are heard and acted upon.
