Councillors Shazna Muzammil and Liam Andrews, ward members for Tattenhoe and Newport Pagnell North and Hanslope, attended a public engagement event on Friday to mark Anti-Social Behaviour Week.
The event, led by Milton Keynes City Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour Team, offered an opportunity for members of the public to engage with those that lead on Milton Keynes City Council’s ASB prevention work, find out how they can report anti-social behaviour and what support is available.
Councillor Shazna Muzammil said: “Cultivating safety and community well-being is a fundamental right and everyone has a right to feel safe. Anti-social behaviour can be tackled effectively, and it is great to see the council’s team having this awareness sessions and I look forward to working with them more closely and taking these sessions to residents.”
Councillor Liam Andrews added: Anti-social behaviour is often looked at as a low-level crime but it can have a huge impact on the lives of residents and communities and we know it can escalate into more serious crime so I was pleased to attend this engagement session run by Milton Keynes City Council, in partnership with our fantastic local policing team."
