At last night's Budget Full Council, which was cut short due to a citywide power cut, the Labour-Liberal Democrat Progressive Alliance voted against all of the Conservative Group's amendments.
In doing so, the Labour-led Administration rejected the opportunity to refine the upcoming year's budget by enhancing focus and support for issues that really matter to our residents.
They refused to stop hiking up resident's council tax bills.
They refused to increase investment into our crumbling highways network.
They refused to prioritise public transport services over holding continuous local elections.
They refused to support a bus service that is a lifeline for a rural community.
They refused to investigate how best to support organisations providing vital youth services.
They refused to look into the impact of construction dust on residents' health.
They refused to look into how all play areas can be upgraded to provide our young people with welcoming outdoor spaces.
Whilst Labour just want to take more and more of your money, Local Conservatives will remain focused on delivering on the issues that matter to local residents.
