Councillor Shazna Muzammil, ward member for Tattenhoe, has donated a portion of her ward grant to Tattenhoe Youth FC in support of their efforts to upgrade their training and development resources.
This donation will allow Tattenhoe to purchase new training equipment for their various youth teams, ensuring the children have the best tools to develop their skills and engage in important physical activity.
Cllr Shazna Muzammil said: “By being able to give some of my ward budget to Tattenhoe Youth Football Club, not only was I able to help the local community by helping our children develop both social connections and better their physical health, but most importantly with this grant, I hope to allow the children, the chance to do what they enjoy and love, to the best possible affect. With this funding more children can experience the joy of football, create lifelong friendships, hone their sporting and teamwork skills and above all else have fun, and that’s what matters.
I believe that sports are not only important for physical health but also for mental well-being, and I have always been passionate about promoting any initiative that supports the well-being of our children. Sport is also a crucial aspect in nurturing the youth of today and the future of tomorrow.
I am grateful to the club and the parents who support them, and I know that their efforts will go a long way in promoting the overall well-being of the children in our community.”
Andrew Waller, Chair of Tattenhoe Youth Football Club added: ‘Councillor Shazna Muzammil has shown immense kindness and generosity by making a donation to Tattenhoe Youth FC. Her contribution will go a long way in supporting our clubs’ efforts to provide a positive and nurturing environment for young children. We are truly grateful for the support and her commitment to making a positive impact in our community is truly commendable.’
Cllr Muzammil, along with her fellow Tattenhoe Ward Cllrs Manish Verma and James Lancaster, is proud to support vital community groups, like Tattenhoe YFC, and will continue to champion such important causes in their ward.
